Auditing Categories
Overview
Auditing your categories is an important activity and MyContentDash is one of the best tools for the job. We'll show you how.

1) Work On Content In A Specific Category
This first use-case is pretty straightforward. In the "Categories" filter, search for and select a specific category (hovering on a category gives you the option to select "only" that option). Now, you can work on the content within that category to find opportunities, look for ways to break it down further, and more.
2) Find Content To Categorize Properly
Whether you're creating a new category or just trying to make sure that you have categorized your content properly, this is a great tool to help with that.
Here's how...
First, instead of selecting a specific category, we actually want to deselect a category because we want to find content that is not categorized within a specific category. In the category dropdown, find the category you're working with and deselect.
Now, search for content that should fit within that category. In my example, I deselected the "Desserts" category. Now, I'm going to start searching for topics that I feel should fit in that category (ie. cookie, brownie, cake, etc).
You should now be left with a list of posts that could fit into that category. Sift through those to make sure and then go into Wordpress and assign the category.
💡 TIP: Once you've created this filter, just export this to CSV and then work through things that way (or just send it to a virtual assistant to help).
